David Spata is the owner/operator of Aritum Hair. Established by David in Siciliy, Italy in 1999, he is now opening his doors in his new home of Sydney, Australia

Born in Bondi, Sydney, David moved to Italy with his parents at age 2. Although he was raised in Italy, he has always felt a strong connection to Sydney. With the opening of Artium hair now in Sydney, David truly has come full circle.

The son of award-winning hairdresser to the stars (in both Australia and Italy), Andrea Spata, David has always had the hair styling industry in his life. As an award-winning colourist and cutter himself, David has established himself as an innovative, passionate and leading hair stylist in his own right.

Having first opened Artium’s doors in 1999, David quickly built a strong reputation as a leading stylist in Sicily. After 6 years of exceptional growth as a business, David opened a larger second location in Sicily with continued growth and success.

In 2010, with a growing reputation and multiple awards, David became a lead advisor to both Loreal and Paul Mitchell Italy.

Having achieved many goals within his beloved industry, in 2014 David moved back to his homeland of Sydney, Australia to build a new life for his young family.

David found immediate success in his new home, further learning by working in some of the best salons in Sydney

David also worked at several other well-established hair salons within Sydney until 2019, where it was clear that David was ready to open Artium in Sydney.

Upon Artium's Sydney launch, David is poised and ready to bring everything he has learnt, developed and achieved to his clients in Australia.
